Context

The company is known for its wide range of products in stores worldwide. To ensure our inventory’s accuracy and improve the stock management process, we needed a user-friendly Stock Adjustment App. This app is part of six applications( A Stock Adjustment app, A Receiving app, Promotional Approval app, STO App, Shipping app, Item lookup app) designed to streamline various aspects of our retail operations.

Solution:

We developed a Stock Adjustment App as one of the six applications in our suite. This app allows Store Associates and IC personnel to make stock adjustments easily. It includes features like:

  • Selecting and assigning different reason codes for adjustments.
  • Guided options for inventory and expensed movements.
  • Workflow support for specific adjustment types.
  • Authorization processes for shrinkage postings.
  • Ability to add Shoe certificate numbers.
  • A user-friendly interface that emulates the EMEA look and feel.
  • Compatibility with iOS 8 devices for convenience.
Design Process
User Task Flow:

I started sketching storyboard solutions on paper to give freedom to my flow of thought and not be constrained by details. After 2 to 3 iterations, I started the hi-fidelity version.
